Some people are SOL and screwed in terms of options but there’s still a lot of ways to play to your build and the meta on a smaller level. Everything’s geared around the court but you can still play your build to its strengths. If you’re someone with a dynamic mind, maybe you’re a scout or a hunter who sells game to soldiers, if you’re someone who likes routine or being in one spot maybe you’re a chef, or maybe you do like hierarchy and a a clear way to advance maybe you are a knight. That doesn’t mean you have to make yourself be a knight. Everything’s geared toward the royal court and the kings army.

For the sake of the example, pretend that people in the Middle Ages could choose any job they wanted, and please ignore anachronisms and historical inaccuracies. The way I interpreted that is that any build is viable in any meta, you just need to learn how you specifically fit into the one you’re in. Wasting time worrying about the 1% will ultimately be slower.Īll the compounds are viable, but there is a meta. Like you could say "I'm gonna start on a harder compound to try and outlast the pack before first pit, then I'll make up any lost time on open track so that when I put I've ultimately put in more laps" but the reality is that everyone else is using the same compound for a reason, and while maybe your hail Mary pays off, the odds are that you are a little worse off than the rest. But ultimately one is best for the given track and weather based on grip vs laps per tire and accounting for the features of the track. In almost all race scenarios, there are very good arguments for more than one tire choice. One that is soft usually has more grip will generally wear out faster and heat up at a different rate than a firm tire. In a car race, teams will make very calculated choices about tire compound. They were DnD players, mythology majors, nutrition specialists or whatever, and then eventually decided to put a few levels into the Podcast Host skill (like what Dr K means with the rule about resources not expiring). Very few of these people actually built their stats around being a podcast host (a skill that uses the meta) at first.

And a Doctor build is just as viable as an Artisanal Baker build, or a Hairdresser build, or a Comedian build.Īlso, you’d think the optimal build for the ADHD meta is a Pro Gamer or Comedian or something, right? Well, who’s to say a doctor can’t be a streamer (like Dr K)? Bakers and cooks can be entertainers too (Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay), and yes hairdressers as well (Brad Mondo)! Heck, if you look at the Tech Support videos on WIRED’s YT channel, any profession can be applied to the meta.Īnother example of that would be that there are countless podcasts on virtually anything nowadays. However, that might not seem like your thing/calling/dharma. So if you want to take advantage of that: go into streaming, entertainment, content creation, something creative (aka anything a computer can’t really do). The current meta is “ADHD”, though I’d prefer the term “Entertainment/Creativity Focussed”.
